Edit: Fanano is right. Dubai cabs are the most expensive. If you want to travel all that way by cab ask the driver for a fixed price. I understood your question that you go from Dubai to your final destination in the same cab. In case you don't, fares differ.

If you visit the Gold Souk in Dubai, you will be able to get watches considerably cheaper than in England from the street traders ...... I cannot vouch for their authenticity though !!

Gold, changes on a daily basis's. I personally wouldn't buy my gold at the airport. Is it a good buy? I really don't know, but I doubt it. Everything goes up in an airport. Like, if you don't like the price, where else ya gonna go? I would pass.
