Was working in Dubai, Outstanding credit card , can i travel to Oman?
I was working in Dubai , I was terminated due to financial crisis, My visa has expired and still not cancelled as i received the termination letter only in my home country, Now i am facing outstanding credit card problems, will there be any problem travelling and working in oman

On a moral side its bad on your part to have outstanding credit card problem and not paying them. Its not the banks problem that you are having financial difficulties. Hope you are decent enough to pay the bank their dues.
On legal side you will not have a problem of working in Oman as long as your work doesnt require you to travel to uae

Yes, you can get an 28-day valid GCC Resident visa on arrival, provided that you hold a degree-related profession (not laborer, carpenter etc.), and that you arrive directly from a GCC country. Fee: R.O. 5

What kind of help do you expect?
1. Advice: Check out flights to these countries online, book hotels online and apply for visas. (Mostly hotels will provide visas).
2. Advice: visit a travel agency or tour operator. Tell the person what you want and let them do their job. The travel agency will provide you with the Airline tickets, hotel bookings and visas.

how long usually does it take to go Oman coming from Dubai? What are the easier way to travel? kind of transportation.
I'm planning of applying for work in Dubai, my relatives live in Muscat Oman. How long if by plane? by car? is it difficult to cross borders if I have a working visa in Dubai?
Is there another mode of transportation other than by car if i don't have one?

Please note the current UAE visa rules: if you enter the UAE on a tourist/visit visa and land a job, you have to leave the UAE again for 30 days and re-enter on an employment visa. Exemptions exits depending on nationality and profession.
After obtaining an UAE residence visa it will depend on your profession if you can obtain an Omani visa up on arrival.
Businessmen, company managers or representatives, auditors, accountants, doctors, engineers or employees working in the public sector, their family members and drivers and servants sponsored by them are eligible for a visa to the UAE up on arrival.
A flight Dubai - Muscat will take around one hour.
You should search/apply for a job in the UAE online while in Oman visiting your relatives on a visit visa or from your home country and then enter the UAE on a 96 hrs visa for interviews if necessary. If you land a job, your employer will obtain an employment visa for you to enter the UAE properly for employment.
Foreigners used to come here on tourist visas obtained from travel agencies and went on visa runs on the bus to Oman (flights not possible with an E-visa). This isn't allowed no more (but don't know if all travel agents follow the new law). Many people got stranded in Oman and Kish because they were not allowed to re-enter the UAE.

ReplyDeleteGot 6K dirhams credit limit until my outstanding balance became 25K dirhams from 6K AED with out using the card anymore, as Ive been terminated from my job in Dubai and the bank keep adding percentage every month I skip the payment. I stopped communicating with the bank. They harassed me and everything. This was way back 2009. Now I get good offer from one company in Oman, can I work in Oman with out any problem?
