What is the best time of the year to travel to Dubai?

i am wanting to go to dubai in july, but i dont know where to look as i want a decent hotel in BUR DUBAI and a decent flight for a decent price.
i have looked at various websites but they keeping coming up with ridiculous prices, i am willing to spend up to £400 for flight and hotel, any ideas as i need to start booking asap!

Dubai is a luxury destination and it is expensive. 400 pounds wont go far to cover expenses for even the flight to Dubai. Check with southall travels, they usually have the cheapest deals. Http://www.southalltravel.co.uk/ Even then they might not get you a ticket for less than 300 pounds.
Try another year when the prices have fallen a bit.

Every visitor to the UAE is suppose to have a round trip ticket, also when Immigration officers never ask for it. At least not citizens who can obtain a visa up on arrival.

Need to open driving license file in Dubai?

I am 18+ yr old boy on my father's residence visa from Sharjah.

We have 3 bookshops and a trading license of Dubai and Sharjah.In Dubai we have 1 book shop and Sharjah we have 2 bookshops.I study in Dubai-Knowledge Village.

A friend of mine working in emirates driving institute told me if I can get a copy of my father,no objection letter,dubai's trading license copy,dubai book shop's legal papers etc,my university's letter stating that I study in Dubai campus and go to Roads and Transport Authorities(RTA) in Dubai and request them to open my file in dubai for driving license,then I will be able to start my driving lessons in Dubai.

I really need to start my driving lessons in Dubai as it will be easy for me to travel and also in Sharjah they take a lot of time.

Note-I have also opened my driving license file in Sharjah driving institute in January and since then I am waiting.

Will The RTA department will allow me to open my file in dubai?Any suggestion or hint?

It doesn't take a family background to get driving license !

Its best that you check with Dubai traffic department

Dubai in mid August?

1. most travel books discourage visiting Dubai in August at all. should I go during that period considering im flying from London and my friend is flying from Singapore. would we be able to get used to the very hot temperature in a short time?
2. what are the things to do and places to see if we have a week to spend in Dubai?
3. I would like to visit other places outside of Dubai. Can you please recommend some areas?

If you would like to rent a car, please do not forget your intl. Drivers license.

In August it will not only be very hot, it also will be very humid and not cool off a bid at night. You might like to enjoy indoor activities much more than outdoors. Nobody can say if you will get used to this kind of heat. This varries from person to person. Just take the right clothes with you. Watch the material and avoid tight fitting clothes.
