What are some good paying and respectable jobs that include travel?
For example my aunt is a Chartered Accountant and she goes abroad often to places like Norway, Dubai etc.
What are the jobs including travel that are good preferably linked to economics, bio, chem or maths?

DUBAI DEPENDENT VISA?

Hi
I earlier asked about Entry Permit and received complete details from H & mmtzee1. Thanks guys.
Now I have question on my dependent please.

Due to personal reasons my spouse is not accompanying me and will join me later. But her Visitor visa is valid till Mar 18th 2010. I am travelling to Dubai next week with Entry Permit. Please can someone advise me on these
1. How is Dependent Visa called in Dubai - Is it a Residency Visa like what I get or is it Dependent Visa linked to my Residency Visa
2. Can my company apply for her Residency/Dependent Visa while she is in India and I am in Dubai.
3. If she cant come to Dubai by March 18th, what are the options for her to join me.

I look forward for your help as ever.

Thanks
JR

Regarding the new rules, your salary has to be AED 8.000 + accommodation provided or AED 10.000 without. Have your marriage certificate attested in your home country by the UAE Embassy.

1) A residence visa is called a residence visa no matter for whom. An employee got a residence visa, a house wife got one and a child got one.
2) Your company can not apply for a residence visa on your wife's behalf. Only a sponsor (you) can do so.
3) After you received your residence visa, you can apply for a visit visa on your wife's behalf. After she entered the UAE, you will apply for her "entry permit" (AED 500). After that, you can apply for her residence visa.
In case your wife will come here on a tourist visa (30 days), you might run out of time.

What to do:
Come here and get your residence visa.(Your PRO is takingcare of that)
Have your wife coming over here on a visit visa. (You have to apply for that)
Change this visit visa into an "entry permit" (AED 500).
Send your wife for medical check up.
Get your wife's residence visa.

Some more infos you'll find here:
http://www.dubaifaqs.com/visa-residence-dubai.php

Please be aware that you will have to do a lot of running back and forth between Immigration and translation offices. Have enough passport copies and passport pics on hand.

If you think it's over with now - you are wrong. Now you both have to get your National ID:))

Rome travel HELP!!!!! Visa, customs, map, restaurants?

Im going to Rome in 2 days and i was wondering do i need a visa?im stopping off in Dubai also. Are there and special custom regulations in Rome/Italy different to those in Australia? I need a map of the CBD of Rome and need some links to good restaurants

Thanks

admin answers:

If you're an Australian citizen and will be in Italy for less than 90 days for tourism, then you don't need a visa - just a valid passport. Otherwise, you can check the visa requirements here: http://www.esteri.it/visti/home_eng.asp

The customs regulations that apply to you will pretty much be the same as for US residents entering Italy. You can find the details here: http://italy.visahq.com/customs/

For restaurants in Rome, you might try: http://www.ilconviviotroiani.com/eng/index.html , http://allefratteditrastevere.com/ , http://www.ilbacaro.com/ , http://www.laltromastai.it/home_en.asp

There are very many excellent places to eat.

Jenny asks…

Traveling, please help ?

hi ,
are there any age restrictions traveling to Dubai from Hong Kong for a business trip.

should the person be over 18 or can he/she travel even though they're under 18 & alone.

some links on Hong Kong travelling terms will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

admin answers:

I'm pretty sure you can travel alone as long as you're over 12 years old. I think it depends on the airline. Call, perhaps? I've travelled alone before I was 18 and there were no problems at all.

If you're under 18, make sure you bring a note from your parents giving permission for you to travel alone.
