Questions About Dubai Travel Embassy

Carol asks…

I am an Indian and I am told that the Indian embassy does not allow my 13 yr old son to travel alone to Dubai?

admin answers:

If he has a visa to travel there is no objection from the Indian Embassy. He will travel as a minor and you need to inform the airline at the time of booking the ticket. The ground staff will take care and would guide the child via immigration and hand over to airline onboard staff, later at Dubai, he would be handed over to you if you are awaiting to receive him or to the member responsible and notified to airlines before itself.

Mark asks…

can i apply for Iran passport from Dubai embassy!!?

I got US passport and would like to travel to Iran ,How can i get my Iranian passport if i don't have it any more ?

admin answers:

You need to read this article before applying and using your iranian passport (message from US gov.)
http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/tw/tw_920.html
you could apply if you live in Dubai, but not from the UAE gov, only from the iranian embassy,if there is one in UAE.

Linda asks…

I want to travel to Oman by road from Dubai with my wife and daughter ?

We have Pakistani passports with UAE residence visa. The Car i will use will be one of my local friend car. Can I use my friend car to go to Oman and do i need visa from embassy or I can get it on boarder??

admin answers:

UAE residents with certain professions i.e. Engineers, managers, doctors, business owner, accountants etc. Are able to enter Oman by road and will receive a visa at the border against a fee.

You will not be allowed to bring a private vehicle into the country which is not in your name. Rent a car. Budget car rental is the only company which let you take a rent a car across the border.
"50 % extra on the daily rate for each day the car is in Oman.
Each 10-day period of rental will be charged an additional insurance fee of US$ 27.50"

Take care.

John asks…

How many bank statements does the Greece Embassy needs to apply a Schengen Visa from Dubai for the first time?

On their previous emails to me, they told me that they need 3 months bank statement. But yesterday, my friend told me (who is traveling most of the time) that recently they are asking for 6 months bank statement for new applicants. I am confused now, can anyone clear this out? Thanks!

admin answers:

3 is enough. If you are unsure ask them :)
