Is it relatively safe to travel to Dubai alone?
I am a 36 year old American female. I have never traveled overseas and am thinking of making a solo "getaway" in March but am kind of nervous to do this, but, don't want to waste my money starting somewhere small. Any thoughts on if this would be a good place?

Hi there,
A cousin of mine has been living in Dubai since ages, and a few days back i was talking to him about visint Dubai now as the Shopping Festival is going on When the topic of shopping till midnight came up, he said Dubai is very safe for females to go shopping around alone all day too!
Dubai is known to be a very safe place in terms of Crimes, but as always, there are some rules that you have to follow, which applies even to your own home. So if you follow those basic steps that you take in your home, you will be safe here too!
Please take these precautions when in dubai at any cost! :
*avoid travelling in "unofficial taxis"! There are many such in Dubai, but always use the official Taxis to go anywhere.
*While you can go to bar or a nightclub and have a few drinks don’t get drunk. The police arrest drunks and throw them in jail no questions asked.

Paul asks…
How much money should i save and how safe is it to travel from London to Bahrain?
Then to Dubai.
admin answers:
Expenses, depends on what is your travel plan but as an average traveler and living in an average three star hotels and normal traveling cost other then airfare you should be spending around 100 british pounds or around 600 UAE Dirhams or around 165 US dollars per day. This will cover your costs of accommodation and normal traveling with some food expenses also.
For the safe traveling part traveling to Bahrain and dubai from any where in the world is as safer as traveling to countries like Germany, Netherlands, Belgium or any other safe country or may more safer then those countries. But general precaution and common sense is always required.
