i am travelling via dubai so can i get transit visa and what are the requirements. i have an permanent resident visa for australia.

If you're travelling through Dubai without exiting the airport, then you don't need a visa. If you want to exit airport, you can get a transit visa - it should be possible through the airline you're travelling with.

Forget about a tour package.
Citizens of the following countries are required to be in possession of a pre-arrival visa: Afghanistan, Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Chechnya, Croatia, Georgia, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Iran, Israel, Kazakhstan, Kirghizia, Lebanon, Macao, Macedonia, Malaysia, Moldavia, Morocco, Pakistan, Palestine, The Philippines, Russia, Serbia and Montenegro, Sri-Lanka, Tadzhikistan, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and all African countries.

If the Egyptian Embassy states they won't issue a visa keep it as it is. Book a tourist tour to Morocco instead, it is visa free for passport holders of the Philippines, and for next year's vacation try to get the Egyptian visa with the background of a prior tourist travel history.

How does a Canadian citizen acquire a visa to travel to UAE?
Planning a two week trip in Dubai in January, staying with family there. I have read the website over and over again but it is very unclear, and these visa requirements are so new, coming into affect on Jan 2. I just want to be sure of everything before I travel there.
admin answers:
Hi Alex,
Since u r a canadian national, there is no need to apply for a vist visa or travel visa to come to uae. Once u come to UAE just produce ur passport to the immigration office and he will stamp u a visa for 15 or 30 days.
Pls visit this link to find which country dont need visa to come to uae:

I have saudi iqama. profession in my visa is "Marketing Specialist". I want to visit Dubai on Eid Holidays, Do I need visa to visit Dubai before I travel to dubai or can I get the visa On Arrival?
admin answers:
Hi
AGCC expatriate residents who meet certain conditions may obtain a non-renewable 30-day visa upon arrival at the approved ports of entry. Visitors who are businessmen, company managers or representatives, auditors, accountants, doctors, engineers or employees working in the public sector, their family members and drivers and servants sponsored by them are eligible for this visa. Employees from the labour and servant categories are not eligible for this type of visa.
Good luck

Visa needed for Brazilian travelling to Dubai for 7 days?
My wife and I would like to visit Dubai for 7 days. I am a British passport holder, while she has a Brazilian passport with an indefinate leave to remain visa to say in the UK. After viewing the UK UAE embassy web site I am still a little confused. All visa requirements seem to be for people who want to say in the UAE for 14 days or longer. Can someone please confirm if she needs to arrange a visa in advance if we were to go.
admin answers:
Yes, your brazilian wife does need a visa. Means, she needs a sponer which can be any hotel in Dubai or a friend/family member holding a valid residence visa.
A tourist visa is good for 30 days but of cause you don't have to stay that long. There is not visa for a week only.
Please be aware that the UAE Embassy will not issue visit visas.
